Aaron Gobert

Aaron Gobert, 56, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at home in La Marque, Texas. He was the husband of Cheryl Yevette Gobert. They shared 37 years together including 34 years of marriage.
Aaron was born on August 26, 1967 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Florence Gobert. He gave his life to God at an early age. He attended Washington Marion Magnet High School in Lake Charles. He later moved to Texas City, Texas where he met and later married Cheryl Y. Tookes. They were blessed with one son, Dijon Dante Gobert. He has an older son, Aaron Ware.
Aaron worked Working for Jesus Ministries and Alfaro Motors for a few years. Car detailing was his favorite thing to do. He loved his family and friends.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Cheryl Y. Gobert of La Marque, Texas; son, Dijon Gobert (Jessica) of La Marque, Aaron Ware (Megan) of Houston, Texas; brothers, Joseph Mose and Anthony Gobert; one sister, Patricia Gobert and a host of nieces and nephews.
Aaron was predeceased by his parents, Florence Mose and John M. Legear.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at noon to be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors located at 5410 FM 1765 (facing Highway 3) at Texas City, TX 77591.
