Texas City, Texas
Clara Mae Randle was born May 25, 1937, to Samuel "Sam" Barker Sr. and Irene Zeno Barker.
Clara was born in Mermentau, Louisiana and later lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she attended school. She eventually moved to Texas City, Texas, where she spent most of her life. It was there she built a life surrounded by more family and friends. Clara met and married her husband, Willie Darrell Randle. Together, they made the decision to change the life of a child by adopting their son, Mark Randle.
Clara was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Texas until she became ill.
Clara was a very giving person. She would literally give you the shirt off her back. She was firm, outspoken, and never afraid to speak her mind. You always knew where Clara stood because she would tell you exactly what was on her mind.
One of the things Clara truly enjoyed was eating good food. She would never turn down a good meal when it was offered to her. Among her favorites were gumbo, crawfish, and fried chicken, three foods she especially loved.
Mrs. Randle departed this life Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in Lake Charles surrounded by her family. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
