Claudius Rathel Lee, Jr. Obituary (1947 - 2017)

Mr. Claudius Rathel "Brother" Lee Jr. was born to the late Claudius Lee and Dorothy Clark Lee in Galveston, TX July 13, 1947. He attended public schools in La Marque, TX and later served and received an Honorable discharge from the US Army. Mr. Lee over the years worked various jobs and was considered a "Jack of all trades". He was also known throughout Galveston County for his skillful billiard "pool" talents. On Tuesday February 14, 2017, Mr. "Brother" Lee departed this life at UTMB hospital in Galveston, TX with family at his bedside. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claudius and Dorothy Clark Lee and sister Equilla Lee. "Brother" leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Barbara Cooper Lee of Hitchcock, TX; daughter, Janita (Michael) Washington of Galveston, TX; Brothers Robert (Lucille) Wrights of La Marque, TX, Abe (Gloria) Lee of Houston, TX, Willie Lee of Texas and Albert Lee of Texas City, TX; 4 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. A Public Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 9:00 AM followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Both Services will be held in the Chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591. His remains will be buried in the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX.
