Clarence Jones Jr. was born on August 20, 1943, in Texas City, TX, to the late Clarence Jones Sr. and Fema Mae Jones. He was the cherished eldest sibling to sisters, Jarvis Ann Tookes and Gwendolyn Harris, and brothers, Donald Ray Jones Sr. and Gerald Amos Jones.

Subsequently, he moved to New Orleans, LA, where he worked as a buyer for The Roosevelt Hotel and met his second wife.

On June 26, 1986, Clarence entered into holy matrimony with Patricia A. McGuire. He had a strong faith and early in life professed his belief in Christ. He initially worshipped at Compton Memorial COGIC before transferring his membership to Word of Faith Christian Life Center, where he remained a devoted and steadfast member until his health declined.

Clarence peacefully transitioned from this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia McGuire-Jones, sons Charles Jones (Dianne) and Troy Kiper (Renda), daughter Eileen Kiper, and sister Gwendolyn Harris.
