Da Rell Roshun Glenn was born January 26, 1979 in Galveston, Texas to John Jones ("Chee Chee") and Pat Glenn. He is preceded in death by his father, both grandfathers and a nephew. He attended Texas City Schools and graduated from Texas City High School. Da Rell was shot in 1998 at the age 19, which left him paralyzed from the neck down. Da Rell still lived a good life in spite of his disability. He married Christine Martinez Glenn. He is survived by: his beloved wife, Christine Glenn; his daughter, Akeida Archie; stepdaughters Denisia M. Farris, Aaryiane D. LaDay and Amaya C. Price; grandson Amari; granddaughters Gianna R. Richardson and Journei K. Farris Sutton; mother Pat Grissom (Lloyd); grandmother Faith Jones; sisters Cheronda McDaniel (Andre), Tanisha Glenn and Sonya; brothers Derrick Glenn, Terry Johnson and James Jones; nephews Leonard Lewis and Markus Garrett; niece Stelisha Blevins along with other nieces, nephews, cousins, uncle, aunts and a host of friends. The family personally thanks Reggie Tryals for taking care of Da Rell for over 10 years and never missed a day. A Public Visitation will be begin at 12 Noon followed by a Service to Celebrate His Life at 1:00 p.m. Both Services will be held at Word of Faith Christian Life Center 325 South Westward La Marque, TX 77568. Pastor Ludie Lynch will officiate the services. The family will gather with friends at Bay Area Funeral Directors 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591. Memorials may be sent to the Funeral Home.
