Donald J Derryberry

Our family would like to share the life of Donald Jay Derryberry, at 36 years young, earned his wings on 6/21/2023. Born in Harlingen, Texas, "Donnie" was the youngest child of Donald Ray Derryberry and Juanita Torres Derryberry. Donnie graduated from Alice High School in 2005 and spent his entire life in the pursuit of complete culinary perfection. Food was more than a passion for him, it was his ultimate love language. He spent the last 7 years as an Executive Chef at the Rainforest Cafe, where he fed the masses and was beloved by all. He was an avid member to The Church of the Living God. He is the biggest Astros fan in existence, and a die-hard 49er fan. He loved all sports, and enjoyed playing Disc Golf with his brothers. He will be remembered for having the most contagious smile and the warmest heart as well as his unconditional, unyielding love for his children. He is survived by his 3 children, Donald Jaxon Derryberry 9, Dahlia Jolene Derryberry 7, Dane J. Derryberry 4. His siblings Arturo J. Derryberry 44, Rita Austin 43, and John Christopher Derryberry 40 and his Parents Donald Ray Derryberry 74, Juanita Torres Derryberry 70.
There will be a public visitation held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10am with a chapel service to begin at 12pm. Services will be held at Bay Area Funeral Directors located at 5410 fm 1765 (facing hwy 3) Texas City Texas 77591
