Donda Renee Banki Obituary (1959 - 2022)

It is with great sadness that the family of Donda Renee Banki, (62) announces her departure from this life on January 5, 2022, at her home in Dickinson, Texas. She was born in Homestead, Florida in 1959. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents Elton H. Beck and Ruth M. Beck, her sister Ronda Daniels, her sons Sonny Beck (Melissa) and Shannon Ambuehl (Tammy), her grandchildren Dakota Smith, Brent Beck-Johnson, Erin Beck, Christopher Morgan, Kaitlin Ambuehl, Kenneth Ambuehl and her great granddaughter Brooklyn Smith, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She is reunited in Heaven with her brother Elton (Skeeter) Beck. Sometimes the words are hard to find to describe someone who is essentially indescribable. If you knew her, then you know this. Donda had such a big personality disguised in her small stature. She left an impression on anyone she met. She was fiercely independent and determined to make her own way. She consistently made her love for others known, even if it was through a simple text each day saying "Good Morning" or "I Love You" with no expectation of a reply. Donda had a special relationship with God. She sought Him out on good days as well as bad- prayed for His protection and favor, not always for herself, but for those who needed it most. She was perfect and flawed- or perhaps perfectly flawed. Who was she really? She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a friend and so much more to many others. There are too many stories and too many memories to collect in a few words. She will live on through all of those- until we meet again. She is loved and will be terribly missed. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 4pm - 6pm at Bay Area Funeral Director's located at 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, Texas 77591. The service will be officiated by Pastors John and Jeana Gilligan from Living Faith Outreach, Donda's home church.
