Eligah Wilbur Harris Obituary (1954 - 2021)

Eligah left the world Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Eligah was born in Galveston, Texas on November 15, 1954 to his loving mother, the late Eura Vernida Harris Jones. From an infant, Wilbur was loved and raised by his father, Holland Sherman Jones, Jr. Eligah is preceded in death by his brother, Marlon Jones and grandparents, Rev. Ewing and Lou Ella Harris and Elnora and T. C. Crawford. Eligah is survived by: three sisters, Brenda Jones, Andrea Jones and Ida Bell; two brothers, Darren Jones and Sherman Jones III; an aunt, Velma Douglas; special cousins, Valarie Jackson Bobino, James Bobino, Jr. and Aldo McMahon along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Eligah will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021. A public visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of his life at 8:00 p.m. Both ceremonies will be held at the chapel of Bay Area Funeral Directors, located at 5410 FM 1765 (facing Highway 3) in Texas City, Texas 77591. 409-933-4300.
