Gladys Bimage

Gladys “Yangum” Bimage, quietly departed this life December 16,
2024 at her residence. Gladys was the wife of the late George W.
Bimage Sr.

She was born December 15, 1924 in Waller TX, she was
the daughter of the late Boston and Adline Bailey. She attended
Waller County Schools and Prairie View College, where she
received her Cosmetology certification and became a beautician.
She was also employed by Weingarten in Dickinson, Citizens State
Bank and at the Dickinson Post office. She converted her garage
into a small takeout where the best hamburgers in town were
served!

She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Dickinson, TX
and later joined New Beginnings Church under the leadership of
Pastor Malcom Dotson in League City TX. She was a member of
the Order of the Eastern Star, Galveston County Chapter. Gladys
enjoyed knitting/quilting, crocheting, pottery and fishing. She will
be remembered for her cooking and baking. She enjoyed her
family reunions and above all she loved her children,
grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories, children: Addie Alexander
Dickinson TX, Robbie Collins (Curtis) of Longview, TX, Jimmy
Bimage (Katrina) Dickinson TX, Paula Bimage Dickinson, TX. A
host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Boston and Adline
Bailey, her husband George W. Bimage Sr., children: George W.
Bimage Jr., Ronald L. Bimage, Virginia Henderson Jenkins,
grandchildren: Tajuana Bimage, Isabella Pickens. Siblings: Ester
McDow, Harrietta Davis, Esley Bailey, and Boston Bailey Jr.
