Gloria Neal (Bailey) Tugman

Gloria Neal (Bailey) Tugman, 76, of La Marque/Texas City, joyously walked into the arms of Jesus on Monday, September 7, 2026. Gloria was born in Asheville, North Carolina, the oldest of six children, to the late Howard and Ruth Bailey. She married the love of her life, John Marshall Tugman, Jr and shared 58 years with him. They moved to Toccoa, Georgia from Asheville in 1977. She held a rewarding career in bank compliance while raising four children, sharing the gospel and finding ways to help others. She and John moved to Texas just before retirement and enjoyed many wonderful years in Texas City, working in their church and with local missions.

Gloria is survived by her husband John; children, Dawn (Traie) Franklin, Mandi (David) Rider, David Tugman, Daniel (Kelly) Tugman and Misty Tugman; she has 13 grandchildren, Jamie Franklin, Erin Franklin, Jade Escobar, Benjamin (Kirsti) Williams, Kaylie Williams, Harley Rider, Ruthie Rider, Emily (Allison) Hewitt, Levi Tugman, Jaxon Tugman, Marley Tugman, Austin Frazier-Tugman, Baylee Tugman and 4 great-grandchildren, Hunter Mae Williams, Stetson Williams, Millie Hewitt, and Adelina Sinclair-Escobar.

She is also survived by her four brothers, Terry (Jamie) Bailey, George (Linda) Bailey, Bob (Paula) Bailey, and Bill (Robin) Bailey, and many loved nieces and nephews.
