Helen Bugo

Helen E. Bugo, age 69, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at her residence in La Marque, Texas. She was the widow of Daniel J. Bugo, Sr. who passed in 2009. They would have been married for 50 years.

Helen was born October 7, 1954 in Galveston, Texas as the daughter of Annabelle Grover and Henry C. Zingleman.

Helen graduated from Ball High School in Galveston and attended Galveston College. Her most recent employer was Marathon Company in which she retired in 2020 as an accountant.

Helen was a Christian Catholic and attended St. Mary’s Church in Galveston. Helen enjoyed being around her family doing barbecues, crabbing and some gambling trips. Her hobbies included crafting and gardening. Helen loved her two cats, Patches and Tyger. She will be remembered for being a devoted mother and for her culinary skills.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Daniel J. Bugo, Sr.; mother, Annabelle Grover and brothers, Richard Shaw and Rusty Grover.

Helen is survived by her son, Daniel J. Bugo, Jr. (wife, Antonette); sister, Deborah Cranston; two grandchildren, Ty D. Bugo and Zae-Ona Dunn along with nieces, nephews, aunts, many cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers and a memorial service, Helen requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
