Jan Elizabeth Lacy Obituary (1965 - 2017)

Jan Elizabeth Lacy departed this life peacefully surrounded by family on March 31, 2017. She was born in Texas City, Texas on August 23, 1965 to Willie Mae and Gilbert Lacy, Sr. She was educated in the public schools of Texas City ISD where she excelled in volleyball and softball. She also attended College of the Mainland. Jan was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Lacy; father, Gilbert Lacy, Sr.; niece, YaTasha Lacy and nephew, Jacolby Lacy. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Darrell Wayne King, Haley Savage and Lacee Savage; grandchildren, Darrell King III, Aubrey King, Nyla Jean Lewis and Darious Jan Lewis; siblings, Charles Lacy (Janell); Youlander Gardner (Kenneth), Gilbert Lacy, Jr. (Brenda), Sandra Donald, Marvin Lacy and Willie Lacy (Chelisa), Florence Aaron, Linda Lacy, Brenda Lacy and Linda Blackmoe; devoted uncle and aunt, George and Elizabeth Tyler; uncles, James Moses (Dorothy) and Calvin Moses; devoted cousin, Renard Hudson (Leslie) along with many other family members and friends. A Public Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 8, 2017 followed by A Service to Celebrate Her Life at 11:00 AM. Both Services will be held at Greater Barbour's Chapel Baptist Church 7420 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591. Rev. Andrew W. Berry, II is the Celebrant.
