Jimmy Ray Sheppard passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in San Leon, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jim was born October 18, 1964 to Thomas "Bubba" and Faye Hayes Sheppard in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John A. Sheppard; mother-in-law, Pat Kloss and sister-in-law, Patti Dailey.

Jim met the love of his life Laurie and they were married in 2016. They enjoyed traveling to many tropical destinations. Jim enjoyed cooking, drawing his famous palm trees and spending time with family and friends. Laurie brought to the family her daughters, Hollie Salas (husband, Stephen) and Heather Slater (husband, Jared) along with seven grandchildren that Jim adored. They enjoyed sleepovers and trips to Galveston.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Laurie Sheppard; sisters, Julie Pittman (husband, Ryan), Samantha Strange (husband, Travis); brother, Doug Sheppard (wife, Kristie), Alyssa Sheppard; nieces and nephews, Melanie Pittman Collins, Cody Pittman, Seth Pittman, Joshua Sheppard, Logan Sheppard Rueble, Macie Strange, Matthew Broussard, Caleb Sheppard, Justin Sheppard, Jared Sheppard and Jeremy Sheppard; sister-in-law, Renita Sheppard; special lifelong friends, James and Kathy Felts and his fur babies, Callie and Riley.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned for a later date.
