Joe Harris Allen, known as "Sonny", was born on November 27, 1942 to Dorothy Fay and Ennis Allen in Richmond, Texas. On November 19, 2020, Mr. Allen heard the call of the Lord saying, "Come on in to rest from your earthly life's labor." "Sonny" was drafted into the United States Army in 1965 and served until 1967. "Sonny" is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Solomon; stepfather, Lloyd Solomon; grandmother, Mary Fay Miles and aunt, Irene Fay Lindsey. "Sonny" leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Emma Jean Cook and nephews, Charles and Julius Johnson - all of Temple, Texas; cousins, Robert Norwood of Texas City, Texas and Caroline Hall of Friendswood, Texas; a devoted friend, Gerald Oglesby; a devoted caregiver, Valerie Edwards of Affinity Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Pearland, Texas.
