John Samuel Snyder

John Samuel Snyder, 71, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2023 at his home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Antonetta 'Toni' Snyder. They shared 43 years of marriage together.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of Raymond Reese Snyder and Lucye Jane Cleopatra Rider-Snyder. He graduated George Washington High School in 1970 and studied Literature at West Virgina State College. He retired from Dupont in 2016, where he was a Plant Supervisor over 3 decades.

He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, bluegrass music, cooking/grilling, building, and paranormal investigations including big foot hunting, ghost and alien encounters. He will be remembered for his brilliant mind, fascinating stories, and spirited laughter.

He is survived by spouse, Antonetta 'Toni' Snyder, children, John Raymond Snyder and daughter in law Pamela Galeano and granddaughter Alaia Haze Snyder, daughter Amanda Kay McAllister, son in law Josh McAllister and granddaughter Ember Rhys McAllister, son Andrew Ryan Snyder and daughter in law Heather Flores-Snyder, his sister Rebecca Snyder-Price, and children he chose to raise with his own, Beverly Goodwin and grandson Connor Samuel Bigham, Andre De Cuba, Laura De Cuba and grandson Liam De Cuba and granddaughter London De Cuba, an abundance of nieces and nephews, his dog, Little Dog, and cats, Summer and Miss. Pots, and two hermit crabs, Tiny and Goblin.

His celebration of life memorial will be held on Saturday July 15th, 2023, at the Brookglen Community Center. Flowers and/or memorial donations can be given to the Snyder Family or sent to 3402 Park Meadows Ave., Deer Park, TX 77536.
