Kelvin Wayne Tucker Obituary (1959 - 2018)

Kelvin Wayne Tucker was born in Galveston, TX on October 26, 1959 to Vernell Carroll and Etta Mae Lott Tucker. Kelvin attended schools in the Texas City and La Marque Independent School Districts. Kelvin also attended college at Colorado Technical University after serving in the United States Air Force from 1979 to 1983. Kelvin accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church in Texas City under the leadership of Reverend F. M. Johnson. Kelvin later re-united with the church under Pastor A. L. Bell. Kelvin was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Willie Lee and Lula Mae Watkins and sister, Lisa Tucker Looney. Kelvin is survived by his wife of 10 years, Cherye Delores Tucker; children, Kelvin Wayne Walker, Shevlyn Yvonne Walker, Darkell Hunter (April), Denby Hunter (Kyana), Geraldquis Felder, James Felder, Jr. (Kashanna) and Detrice Scott Williams (David); sisters, Tonia Tucker Griffin (Howard) and Sonja Roberts; 22 grandchildren; in-laws, Katherine Jackson, Sandra Scott-Bonner, and Trina Yvette Scott and many other relatives and friends. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00 am followed by a service to celebrate his life at noon. Both events will take place in the chapel at Bay Area Funeral Directors located at 5410 FM 1765 (facing Highway 3) in Texas City. 409-933-4300. All memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
