Lakesha Marie Peterson Obituary (1979 - 2020)

Lakesha Marie Peterson graduated from her earthly home on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Pearland, Texas. Lakesha was born in Webster, Texas to Debra and George L. Peterson, Jr. She established her early scholastic training through the Dickinson Independent School District. Lakesha graduated from Mayde High School in Houston, Texas. Lakesha was a member of and attended Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dickinson, Texas until her health failed. Lakesha leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Debra Peterson; sister, Chanda Taylor; uncles, Charles Reed, Jr. (wife, Karissa) and Doyle Peterson (wife, Rhonda); aunts, Martha Scott and Shalandra Jones; nephews, Rasheed Peterson (wife, Blanca), Devon Taylor (wife, Ashley) and Emery and Caleb Taylor; nieces, Audrie Taylor and JaCora Peterson; godbrother, Donald Williams, Jr. (wife, Anetra); godsisters, Ebony Barnett, S. Denise Williams and Monica Turner-Powell; seven great nieces and nephews, a host of great uncles and aunts and cousins. Lakesha was preceded in death by her father, George L. Peterson, Jr.; brother, Terry L. Peterson; grandparents, Essie B. and Charles Reed, Sr., Roland Jones and Marline and George Peterson, Sr. and godparents, Johnnie and Laney Lee, Sr. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church located at 2920 Highway 3 in Dickinson, Texas 77539 with Pastor Lewis D. Little officiating and Pastor Roderick Cunningham eulogizing. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a diabetes or a kidney organization.
