Larry Frank

Larry Gene Frank was born on April 16, 1936, in Jennings, Louisiana to Sydney Frank and Nola Prevost. He received his early and secondary education through the Jennings Public School System School where he graduated. He was baptized at his family’s church St. Paul’s Baptist Church.

Larry embarked on a new journey when he moved to Texas in 1956. He made his home in Texas City. He was united in holy matrimony to Ruby Frank. He was a dutiful employee of the City of Texas City, retiring after thirty years of service.

Larry remained a country boy at heart through and through. He was an enthusiastic hunter with many hunting dogs. He was a proficient salt-water fisherman, and he had a special knack for crabbing and crawfishing. If zydeco music was playing you could count on him being on the dance floor dancing. He was known to frequent the Mud Shack, Bourbon Street and Wrice Barbeque where he put his dance skills to work on the floor. He was also known to play slot machines, but he really enjoyed hosting card games in his free time. He was a great storyteller keeping his audience in stitches laughing until their sides ached.

He was a special dedicated family man; he was a loyal friend who endeared himself to many. We are grateful for the time God allowed him to share with each of us.
