Madaline Magarite Renchie Obituary (1922 - 2017)

On December 10, 1922, a precious baby girl was born to Nettie and Payton Renchie, Sr. They named her Madaline. She was known to many as Margarite (Maug). She was raised in Galveston, Texas and later moved to La Marque, Texas. She worked in the cafeteria of Holy Rosary Catholic School, at Sam Brown's Cafe on 27th and Post office and later at Liza's Soul Kitchen on Market St. in Galveston for many years. She grew up as a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Galveston. In her later years, she attended Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and in 2004 she was baptized in Jesus Name and became a faithful member of Miracle Temple Church under the leadership of Bishop F. E. Hatton, where she remained until her homegoing. After a short illness on the morning of February 14, 2017, Jesus called her home. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Payton Renchie, Jr. and Robert Renchie; sister, June Simmons and sister-in-law, Lydie Renchie. She leaves to cherish her memory: her brothers, Eugene Renchie and Billy Joe Synegal (Bernice); special cousin and nephew that showered her with extra love and care over the years, Pauline Edwards and Bishop F. E. Hatton, respectively; a great-niece that was always available to lend her a helping hand, Angel Hatton; extended family, the staff of Ashton Parke Care Center that spoiled her, loved her and treated her with honor and dignity and went beyond the call of duty to make the days of her last five years happy ones and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Public Visitation Will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2017 followed by the Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Both services are being held at Miracle Temple Apostolic Church 902 Duroux RD La Marque, TX 77568. The Services will be conducted by Bishop Hatton. Local Arrangements have been entrusted to Bay Area Funeral Directors 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591. Memorials may be sent to the Funeral Home.
