Mary Ray

In Loving Memory of Mary Louise (Norris) Ray. Born in Waco, TX May 30, 1939. Passed in La Marque, TX April 4, 2024. Mary passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Her finial days were spent peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Mary was a very caring and loving person. She loved to help others and spend time with her family. She loved to travel and was very strong in her faith with her loving God and Jesus Christ. Mary was very active in the Red Cross, which she loved to be a part of. She did Ministry at Nursing Facilities, Hospitals and the County Jail in Granbury, TX where she lived for 20 yrs. before becoming ill.

Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mary’s family asks that you remember all the joy, love, and laughter she brought into your lives and not the sadness of her passing.

Mary was preceded in death by: husband David Ray Sr., sons David Michael Ray Jr and
Timothy Ray Sr., parents Margarete (Weathers) Hathaway and William Norris, sister Billie Anne Taylor.

Mary is survived by: son Richard (Lisa) Ray, daughter Teresa Staggs, daughter in law
Nancy Ray, grandsons Daniel (Kristi) Humphrey, Bryan (Christy) Humphrey, Taylor (Gabriella) Ray, Griffen (Ashleigh) Ray, Timothy Ray Jr, Michael, Martin and Mathew Barnhart, granddaughters Elizabeth (John) Wallis, Sharon (Brandon) Young, Kristine Ray, Jennifer (Simon) Delgado, Tasha (Jacob) Snodgrass. 26 Great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren, aunt Betty Porter and many nieces and nephews.

Mary lived a very long life full of love and family and many dear friends.

Services will be held, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00am at Highlands Baptist Church, 2908 Cedar Dr., La Marque, TX 77568 (409-938-844). Officiated by Pastor Jack Thompson. Celebration of Life will follow directly after service.
