Michael Ray Comte Obituary (1955 - 2022)

Michael Ray Comte, 67, of San Leon, Tx, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at his residence. A memorial service will be held November 19, 2022 at First Lady Pavilion, Texas City Dike, at 2 pm. Mike was born January 19, 1955 in Woodville, Tx to Rayford and Faye Dean Comte. He attended Tyler County and Jasper schools and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1972. Most of Mike's young adult life was spent in Houston and later on near Galveston Bay, where he could be found kicking around sailboats, riding his Harley, or rooting for the Astros. He enjoyed good movies, good tunes, good weather, and good company. Mike will be so missed by daughter Allison Comte McCauley and husband Reese of Willis, grandsons Trent Whitehead and wife Kristen of Pearland, Brady Whitehead and Griffin Whitehead of Austin, Maddox McCauley of Willis, and granddaughter Kate Teague of Willis; brother Jason Nowlin and wife Debbie of Kountze, sisters Carolyn Moore and husband Douglas of Fred, and Elaine Phillips and husband Roy of Toledo Bend. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Mark Comte, and wife Victoria Comte.
