Nathaniel Vallery, Sr. Obituary (1965 - 2017)

Nathaniel Vallery, Sr. was born August 11, 1965 in Rayne, Louisiana to Joyetta Vallery and Milton Anderson, Sr. Nathan lived his life helping others and being a funny person. Everyone knows that you haven't had a good laugh until you've heard one of Nathan's jokes or old stories. He worked in many areas in the chemical plants. Most people knew him as "Short Dogg", the life of the party. Nathan was a family man. He was an amazing father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, co-worker and companion. He loved liked no other. His kids were his world. He loved each one of his children unconditionally. A love that can't be replaced nor duplicated. Nathaniel leaves a large family legacy: children, Nathaniel Vallery, Jr. (Shana), Ashlee Vallery, Naesha Vallery and Mekayla Vallery; mother, Joyetta Vallery, siblings, Angela Brooks ("Pop"), Antoinette Vallery, Ezekiel Vallery, Thomas Vallery (Latina), Milton Anderson, Johnathen Vallery, Sr. and Raymond Vallery (Stephanie); grandmother, Irene Fontenot; stepchildren, Kevin (Whitney), Jamesha, Jamarcus, Cammeisha (Jermiah), Charles (Laura) and Adrian (Adria); grandchildren, Dustin, Shemar, Denim, Dontavion, Serenity, Khourtlin, Camiah, Chance, Jamiyah, Jamarcus, Jr. and Kiley; companion, Barbara Washington and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, co-workers and friends. A public visitation will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2017 followed a service to celebrate his life at 5:00 pm.
