Patricia Lynn Williams

Patricia Lynn Williams, a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and a blessing(light) to anyone who knew her.

She was born in Galveston, TX on November 26,1960 to Johnny August Jr. and Joyce Mae August. Patricia attended Galveston Independent School District, is a graduate of Ball High School and she furthered her education at Galveston College. Patricia accepted Christ at an early age at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Galveston, TX under the leadership of the late Pastor Wilson Matthews. For years she was employed at UTMB Emergency Department.

Patricia later united in marriage to her late husband, Joseph Williams on April 6,1979. In the same year she gave birth to a son whom she named Joseph Williams Jr. The following year she gave birth to a baby girl, whom she named La'Shuna Williams and in 1989, she gave birth to her second son, and she named him Bradley Williams.

Patricia had a good sense of humor, she enjoyed reading books, playing cards, bingo, dominoes, crossword puzzles, and in her past time she enjoyed playing baseball.

Sadly, on Monday, August 21, 2023, she gained her wings as our Heavenly Father called her home. Patricia is proceeded in death by her late husband Joseph Williams, her parents Johnny August Jr. And Joyce Mae August, sister Marilyn Jean Jules and brother Larry Dan August.

Her legacy will live on through her children, Joseph Williams Jr., La'Shuna Gilbert (Chris), Bradley Williams (Cristian). Five grandchildren, Ayanna Gilbert, Christal Gilbert, Chrishanda Gilbert, Priscilla Williams, and Adriella Williams. Four sisters, Judy Smith (John), Kathy August, Delores Reed (Sylvester), and Christine August. A special brother-in-law, Leon Jules Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
