Raymond Joslin, 62, of San Leon, Texas, passed away on August 9, 2026.
Raymond was born on April 25, 1964, in Japan to Hugh Edward Joslin and Phyllis Mae Joslin. His father’s work had taken the family to Japan at the time, giving Raymond a unique beginning to a life that would eventually bring him to Texas and, for more than 25 years, to Maui, Hawaii. He grew up as one of nine children—five boys and four girls—in a big, lively family where there was never a shortage of personalities, stories, or laughter.
Raymond spent many years working alongside his family at Aircon Appliance Co., the HVAC business founded by his father. He continued working in the HVAC and service industries throughout his adult life.
But Raymond was so much more than what he did for a living. He was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion, and friend. He loved to fish, fire up the grill, shuck oysters, and BBQ—often happiest enjoying the simple things with the people around him. He was also known for his wonderfully dry sense of humor. Raymond could make people laugh without ever seeming like he was trying, often with a perfectly timed comment or the kind of quiet wit that was simply his. He had a personality all his own, and those who knew him will miss the laughter, humor, and unmistakable presence that came with having Raymond around.
Raymond is survived by his beloved, Dana Stech, with whom he shared his life; his two sons, Brandon and Chase Joslin; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Holden, Bailey, and Scarlett; his siblings, Lisa Joslin, Melanie and Jim Beddow, Cindy and Myron Heimlich, Jody and Joe Ripma, Mark and Tami Joslin, David Josin, Teresa Joslin, Brian and Sherry Joslin; and all of their beautiful children and grandchildren across the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Phyllis Joslin; his brother, Robert Joslin, who passed away earlier this year; and his granddaughter, Rorie Joslin.
Raymond’s absence will be deeply felt by the family and friends who loved him. He will be remembered in the stories they tell, the laughter they shared, the days spent fishing, meals around the grill, and all of the ordinary moments together that now mean so much.
Raymond’s family would like to thank everyone for the love, prayers, and condolences they have received during this difficult time. Most of all, they are grateful to the many family members and friends who shared in Raymond’s life, filled it with friendship and laughter, and gave him so many memories along the way.
A memorial service celebrating Raymond’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been completed.
