Robbin Burrell Obituary (1956

Robbin "Lainey" Burrell, 66, passed away November 14, 2023, at HCA Houston Mainland. Born December 30, 1956 in La Marque, Texas. She was the daughter of Doc Dean and Margaret "Sis" Jennings. "Lainey" as she was lovingly called received her education in the La Marque Independent School District. She was employed at COM/College of the Mainland 55 plus program in her later years before retirement. Lainey was an active member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. She enjoyed her arts and crafts, quilting, crocheting, embroidering, and the central focus of her life as a dedicated care giver and helping everyone she could in the community. She will be remembered as a generous soul for helping others and never telling anyone NO! She is survived by her only child "her pride and joy" Carleshia Tobin, and Derek the cat; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Lainey was preceded in death by her parents, brother Noble Royce Dean, sister Margaret Anne Dean-Brown, and lifelong companion Carl L. Brunswick, Sr. The funeral service will be held on Nov. 25th at 11am at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Ave. M 1/2, Galveston, Tx 77550. The viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. The Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the Bay Area Funeral Directors at 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, Texas 77591 (Hwy 3 at FM 1765).
