Robert Thompson, born July 3, 1977, in Austin, Texas, to Angelika Weeks and Ronald Lynn Thompson, embarked on his final journey on May 21, 2024. He was a man whose heart overflowed with love for his family, passion for fishing, joy in gaming, and mastery of the grill.
Robert's life was colored by his deep affection for his two boys, Nick and Steven. Their laughter and adventures were the brightest stars in his universe. He found solace and excitement in the serenity of fishing, often spending serene afternoons by the water's edge, where his mind could wander freely.
His love for gaming was a testament to his playful spirit and his ability to find joy in every moment. Whether he was exploring fantastical realms or competing in virtual battles, Robert was always in his element, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
But perhaps his greatest joy was found in the simple pleasure of a well-cooked meal shared with loved ones. Rob's BBQs were legendary, bringing together friends and family to savor the flavors of his culinary creations while basking in each other's company.
Rob's journey took him from the bustling streets of Austin to the serene landscapes of Montana in 2016, where he sought new adventures alongside his oldest brother, Ronnie. Though he returned to Texas in 2019, his spirit remained ever adventurous, seeking out new experiences with an open heart.
In his final days, Rob, worked diligently at Goodwill, leaving a lasting impact on those around him with his kindness and dedication. His sudden departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Rob was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lynn Thompson. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever held dear by his mother, Angelika Weeks, his sons Nick and Steven, his brothers Ronald and Terry (Victoria), his sister Tessa, his nephew Jet, and a host of other family and friends.
Though he may be gone from our sight, Robert's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, a beacon of love, laughter, and warmth in the lives of those he touched. Rest in peace, Robert, may your spirit find eternal tranquility in the vast expanse of the universe.
