In Loving Memory of Steven Randal "Randy" McDaniel

Steven Randal "Randy" McDaniel, 43, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026. He was born on November 3, 1982, and lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to his family.

Randy spent many years serving the State of Texas through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Above all else, Randy was a faithful Baptist whose relationship with the Lord guided the way he lived his life. His kindness, humility, and unwavering faith touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Of all the roles he held, none meant more to Randy than being a husband and father. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, whether they were camping under the stars, fishing together, or simply making memories that will forever live in their hearts. His family was the center of his world, and the love he gave them was evident in everything he did.

Randy will be remembered for his kind soul, gentle heart, and ability to make friends wherever he went. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and accepted, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His love for the Lord, his family, and those around him will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte McDaniel; his cherished children, Willow, Hazel, Charlie, Kenny, and Terry; his mother and stepfather, Laurie and Robert Floyd of Angleton, Texas; his father and stepmother, John and Missy McDaniel; his sisters, Chrystal and Andy Domingue of Houston, Texas, Tammy Herbert and Steven Green of Oyster Creek, Texas, Racheal Nicholas, Robin Floyd of Baytown, Texas, and Patricia Floyd of Baytown, Texas, his sister in-law Ellie Wade of Victoria, Texas; his brothers, Norman Miller of Rosharon, Texas, Rodney Pelata of Beasley, Texas, and Robert Heinecker of Bryan, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Philip Scott, Velton McDaniel, and Louis Landry; his grandmothers, Sally Scott and Evelyn Landry; and his uncle, Velton McDaniel Jr.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at his mother's home on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 12:00pm at 3625 County Rd 36, Angleton Tx 77515 around noon where family and friends are invited to come together to share stories, memories, and celebrate the remarkable man he was.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Randy's faith has become sight. His legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to God, his family, and those around him will live on through the countless lives he touched. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. Until we meet again, Randy will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
