Alvin, Texas
January 16, 1965 – July 17, 2026
Tracy Elizabeth Romero, 61, of Alvin, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children .
Born on January 16, 1965, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, Tracy eventually made her home in Alvin, Texas, a place she cherished and very proudly called home. She had a deep love for the Lone Star State and embraced the life she built there.
Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Carl Johnson. She is survived by her loving mother, Nancy Arlene Johnson; her husband, Lucio Romero; her sister, Amy Johnson; her nieces Immagen Johnson and Gathering Johnson; her children, Benjamin Minks, Andrew Hernandez, and Laurena Hernandez; her cherished grandchildren, Rachel Minks, Sara Minks, Celie Minks, Nathaniel Minks, Christopher Sexton Jr., Cadence Sexton, and Madison Hernandez, whom she lovingly raised as her own; and her beloved great-grandsons, Timothy Minks and Jonathan Minks.
Tracy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved fiercely, gave selflessly, and always put the needs of others before her own. She had an incredible heart and would never hesitate to help someone in need. Her compassion, generosity, and unwavering strength touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Tracy was a lifelong fan of rock music and especially enjoyed spending evenings listening to local ’80s rock bands. She also loved the beach, where she could often be found searching for seashells, finding peace in the sound of the waves and the beauty of the shoreline.
To those who knew her, Tracy will be remembered for her big heart, her resilience, her sense of humor, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a family who cherished her and countless friends whose lives were made brighter by her kindness.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on through the family she treasured and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In accordance with Tracy’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and celebrate a life so beautifully lived.
