Zabrina Alexander Batiste Obituary (1967 - 2017)

God allowed July 18, 1967 to be a very special day for Samuel Alexander and Pamela Crawford Alexander. Their lives were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Zabrina Alexander. Zabrina was educated in the public schools of Hitchcock. While in high school, she played basketball and ran track. She loved spending quality time with her family. Zabrina was such a giving person, always putting others first. She was united in marriage to Joseph Batiste, Sr. Her loving and caring touch will be missed greatly by her family and friends. On February 25, 2017, Zabrina Alexander Batiste passed from her earthly life to receive her eternal life's reward. She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Alexander and her grandmother, Alice Crawford. Her loving memory will always live in the hearts of her family: mother, Pamela McCree; stepfather, Alvin (Tommie) Eskridge; brother, Thomas (Oneika) Wilson; husband, Joseph Batiste, Sr.; nieces, Meaghan, Jayla and Tamia Wilson; aunts, Tommie Dale (Lawrence) Walker, Alice M. (Marvin) Oliver; uncle, Wayman L. (Patricia) Crawford; stepchildren, Joseph Batiste, Jr., Rodney Batiste and Ethan Batiste; mother-in-law, Mabel McCorpen; devoted friends, Wanda Bailey, Bowana Brown, Thousha Clark and Crystal Scott and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends. A Public Visitation will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12:00 PM followed by A Service to Celebrate Her Life at 1:00 PM. Both Services will be held at Carnes Funeral Home Chapel 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, TX 77591. Memorials may be sent to the Funeral Home.
